Motorcycle Crash in Longmont

On Saturday, December 21, 2019, the Longmont Police Department responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. The crash took place around 3 p.m. on Main St. south of 21st Ave.

The motorcycle was operated by a 57-year-old male with a 56-year-old female passenger. They were traveling south on Main St when a vehicle, which was traveling north, turned into a driveway access. The motorcycle went down before contact was made with the vehicle, however the motorcycle passenger suffered serious injuries. Both the motorcycle operator and passenger were taken to an area hospital and treated for their injuries.

Longmont Police suspect that alcohol may be a factor in the crash and is now under investigation by the Longmont Police. Longmont Police will be working with the Boulder DA's office to determine charges in this case.
