A local Longmont tradition, tonight marks the yearly holiday celebration of lights. The festivities span two days, Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8.

Friday night, from 5-8 p.m., residents are encouraged to walk downtown Longmont and enjoy the holiday lights and end in Roosevelt Park for various holiday activities and a fireworks show (beginning at 7:45 p.m. weather permitting).

The holiday activities located at Roosevelt Park include photos with Santa (bring your camera), ice skating (free skate rental), hot cocoa, fire pits and live reindeer.

Holiday concerts will be featured in the Longmont Senior Center and at Roosevelt Park.

Beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, the Jingle Bell Rock Holiday Parade of Lights will take place on Main St.  The Parade of Lights viewing map is located here.

Prior to the parade, from 3-5 p.m., St. Stephen's Plaza will be the center of action with family fun, music and other activities.
