LPD Works to Remove Barricaded Suspect

At nearly 6 p.m. on July 9, 2019, the Longmont Police Department (LPD) announced to the media that a suspect had barricaded himself inside an apartment in the 2000 block of Zlaten Dr.

The suspect is wanted for multiple felony warrants and refused to leave the apartment.

LPD increased police presence in the area until the suspect surrendered around 7 p.m.

The suspect suffered injuries unrelated to the police response, according to a press release by LPD. He was taken to a nearby hospital for medical clearance.

As of publication, the suspect had not been cleared by the hospital.
