Longmont, CO – In partnership with Comcast, Times-Call, Commuting Solutions, The Latino Chamber of Commerce and Silver Creek Leadership Academy, the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 2017 Chamber City Council Debate with Moderator Gloria Neal on Monday, October 2, 2017, at Silver Creek High School, 4901 Nelson Rd Longmont, 80503.
Gloria Neal, former TV host with Denver’s CBS 4 and Atlanta’s CBS46 will moderate this fast-paced event. Gloria is an award-winning multi-media journalist and is currently the President and CEO of GloKnows Unlimited LLC a full-service multi-media management company. Her work has taken her to many spots around the globe including China where she covered the economic impact of that country in the State of Colorado with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. No stranger to politics, Gloria has covered local and national political events including the inauguration of President Obama.
In addition to hearing from the candidates for the City of Longmont’s Ward 2 At Large and Mayoral seats, debate attendees will be able to visit candidate and issue tables set up in school’s Commons area.
“The Longmont Chamber’s Public Policy Committee is excited once again to bring a Candidate Debate for area residents. It may be easy to overlook local elections, but they have a great impact on our local economy and way of life,” said Rick Accountius, 2017 Public Policy Committee Chair. He added, “With Gloria Neal as moderator and our partners, we’ve created a fun and engaging way to learn about this year’s candidates and the issues important to them. We encourage everyone in the community to attend!”
