Giving Tuesday is a fundraising day. Facebook is participating in Giving Tuesday by partnering with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to match up to $2 million in donations to eligible U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Donations need to be made through Facebook between the hours of 12:00 a.m. EST and 11:59 p.m. HST (Hawaii Standard Time), on November, 28, 2017.
Funds will be matched by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation until the $2 million is gone. However, that does not mean that Giving Tuesday is over. You can keep giving to your favorite nonprofit.
The Longmont Observer would like to ask that you help support us on Giving Tuesday. We are a volunteer fueled, Longmont focused, news entity. We want to keep supplying the people of Longmont with current news but we need your help. With your donation we can get closer to financially supporting a small staff to cover news more promptly and make rent on our office space, provide our readers with better written stories.
