The Longmont Observer has created a series of dashboards to examine the earnings of all employees working for the St. Vrain Valley School District. On January 14, 2019, the Longmont Observer obtained this data by requesting salary records from the St. Vrain Valley School District through the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA).

Our dashboards present information as the St. Vrain Valley School District provided it, with the exception of employee names, which were removed for publication, as well as visualization and aggregations created by the Longmont Observer.

The Longmont Observer publishes this data because we believe that it is in Longmont’s best interest to know how our tax dollars are spent and to verify that the St. Vrain Valley School District pays all employees equally, regardless of gender or ethnicity.

Unfortunately, the Longmont Observer is unable to gain data on gender and ethnicity.

In an email to the Longmont Observer, Kerri McDermid, executive director of communications for the St. Vrain Valley School District, wrote: "Please note that the response to the request for gender and ethnicity information is being provided in the aggregate summary. This specific information tied to each employee is denied pursuant to Sec. 24-72-204(3)(a)(II)(A), C.R.S."

Male: 23.26%

American Indian or Alaskan: 0.68%

Asian: 1.06%

Black or African American: 0.60%

Hawaiian or Pacific Islander: 0.05%

White: 97.60%

Ethnicity:

Hispanic or Latino: 8.72%

Not Hispanic or Latino: 91.28%
