Longmont City Council Passes Ordinance Bill: O-2017-68

On Tuesday, November 28th, 2017 , the Longmont City Council passed a bill for an ordinance making additional appropriations for expenses and liabilities of the City of Longmont for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2017.

On Tuesday, November 28th, 2017, the Longmont City Council passed a bill for an ordinance making additional appropriations for expenses and liabilities of the City of Longmont for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2017.

According to city council communication, "This is the ninth additional appropriation for 2017. This ordinance appropriates an additional $1,721,451 in six funds bringing the total 2017 budget to $439,516,736."

The ordinance will fund necessary expenses and beyond the 2017 budget that was adopted in October 2016.

Expenses regarding to the Capital Improvement Program include:

* Represents expenses that have an offsetting revenue source such as grants,

donations or fees.

** Represents new, previously unbudgeted expenses which require the use of

fund balance.

amendment

General Fund

* Wildland expenses (offset by non-grant federal) $40,000

** Wildland Truck (offset by fund balance reserved for Wildland) $375,000

Total General Fund $ 415,000
