Brewmented celebrated a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, for joining the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC).

Chris McGilvray, a board of director at the LACC, presented Bill Campbell, Co-Founder and President, Vlad Alekseiv, Co-Founder, Kitty Vant, general manager, and the Brewmented team with a plaque to commemorate the event.

"We've been talking about doing this for the last couple of years and we're really excited to finally to see this come to fruition," said Campbell.

Brewmented, located at 900 South Hover Street, Unit C, is an independent homebrew supply shop that provides ingredients and equipment for brewing beer, wine, mead, kombucha, and cider at home.

"What makes us a little bit different, I think than a lot of the other homebrewing stores in the industry, is that we really want to become a destination store," said Campbell. "And what do I mean by that? I mean that you can come here to celebrate beer making, celebrate winemaking."

According to Campbell, what further differentiates Brewmented than other homebrew stores is that they are "more inviting towards beginners and for women."

"Only 10% of homebrewers are women. We want to change that," said Campbell.

Campbell went on to say that they will also be brewing for events and want to be "very active in the local community" by "having events for non-profits, but also things like food and wine and food and beer pairing classes, and other ones where you bring local brewers in from the local area to talk about how they make beer."
