Breaking News: Sol Pais Found Dead Wednesday Morning

On Wednesday morning, authorities found Sol Pais's body at the foot of Mt. Evans. According to officials, it appears that she died from self-inflicted gun shot wounds.

On Wednesday morning, authorities found Sol Pais's body at the foot of Mt. Evans. According to officials, it appears that she died from self-inflicted gun shot wounds.

Pais was the said to have made "credible threats" against Denver Metro schools, causing school closings statewide on Wednesday. It is still unclear to the public what that threat included.

Pais was an 18 year old woman from Florida. She traveled to Denver on Monday and purchased legally purchased a gun and ammunition, according to the FBI.

She was seen in Jefferson County on Monday, causing several schools to initiate lockout protocol on Tuesday afternoon after a recommendation from the sheriff's office.

After over a 24 hour search, authorities located her body near the base of Mt. Evans.

The FBI posted on Twitter that there is no longer a threat to the community.
