On Tuesday evening, Mayor Brian J. Bagley proclaimed April 20-29th as Longmont Restaurant Week.

According to the proclamation, "food and brewery establishments have rapidly grown in number in Longmont during the last few years and the Advance Longmont Economic partners are highlighting the economic impact and the cultural enhancement the culinary arts bring to Longmont."

The proclamation goes on to say that "Longmont restaurants employ 4,911 people creating significant economic impact with jobs by providing employment for a wide range of residents from a high school student’s first job to a new immigrant opening a new business."

The Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting Longmont Restaurant Week in partnership with the Longmont Economic Development Partnership, Visit Longmont and Longmont Downtown Development Authority.
