Forecast Discussion:
Note, I'm in the last week of my big family camping trip this week. I have very limited internet access. (I was here to see the fireworks at Red Feather Lakes set a fire in the hillside across the lake from the crowds... and the fire department leap on it and extinguish it in minutes!).
The giant western ridge rules the state for the first half of the week. We'll be at 100F again with the monsoonal moisture plume stuck out west (there was severe weather in southern Arizona yesterday and will be there again today). That ridge heads out into the eastern Great Plains beyond Kansas by Thursday and the moisture returns to eastern Colorado. Temperatures will lower, afternoon storm chances will increase, but we'll feel the humidity more.
We are in a deep summer pattern! Next post in a couple of days.
