Forecast Discussion:
I'm short on time at the end of a busy weekend and the weather will be very quiet and mild this week... so in brief:
Figure 1 shows a zonal (west to east) flow aloft with a hint of a ridge to our west today. There are troughs and interesting things happening in the weather all around, but it is quiet here.
Starting today, we are in the 50'sF or 40'sF through Thursday and quiet and dry (Figure 2).
The longer range forecast:
Things change sharply again on Friday with a plunge to sub freezing temperatures and a return of snow. After that, for the foreseeable future, it is COLD with another multi-day snow chance coming at the end of next weekend. We will keep our eye on that this week.
