Visit Longmont Contract Renewed by City Council

The Longmont City Council renewed the contract for Visit Longmont at the city council meeting on November 28, passing it 6-0. The contract awards Visit Longmont with 100% of the Lodgers Tax which is estimated to be around $474,616.

The Longmont City Council renewed the contract for Visit Longmont at the city council meeting on November 28, passing it 6-0. The contract awards Visit Longmont with 100% of the Lodgers Tax which is estimated to be around $474,616. This contract is granted as a part of the implementation of the Advance Longmont Plan, the city’s strategic plan for economic development.

The city will grant Visit Longmont monthly payments over the course of the 2018 year, with the final payment being made in the first quarter of 2019. All payments under the contract are contingent upon funds being generated for 2018 by the Lodgers Tax.

The contract requires Visit Longmont to maintain a booking site that features direct links to local hotels, engage in efforts to increase group visitation, continue to promote and nurture local and regional partnerships to attract events that drive tourism and maintain a prominent social media presence.
