The Special Education Services Department hosts meetings to support parents in the St. Vrain Valley School District whose children receive special services (IEP) and/or classroom support (504), and parents interested in resources and support for any student with learning challenges. The meetings may consist of: | - Guest Speakers
- Learning about community resources
- Networking opportunities with other parents
- Updates from the District and topics affecting children with special needs
There is no need to RSVP!
The 2017-2018 meetings are as follows:
November 13th, 2017 - 5:30-7pm at Longmont High School, Community Room, 1040 Sunset Street, Longmont – Topic: Effective Communication at the IEP
January 16, 2018 - 12:00-1:30pm at Student Services, 830 S. Lincoln St., Longmont –
Topic: Behavior Modifications and Understanding the Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
March 12, 2018 - 5:30-7pm at Westview Middle School, Library, 1651 Airport Road, Longmont – Topic: Assistive Technologies
