St. Vrain School Board Approves Hiring Two School Administrative Staff

On April 25, 2018, the St. Vrain Valley School Board approved the hiring recommendations for the positions of Principal of St. Vrain Online Global Academy and the Assistant Principal at Niwot High School.

Ms. Stacey Struessel was approved for the position of principal of St. Vrain Online Global Academy. She will enter the position effective July 1, 2018.

According to the memorandum presented to the school board, "Ms. Struessel graduated from Luther College with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. Ms. Struessel continued her education with a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver. She is also working on her Educational Specialist from the University of Colorado – Denver, with an anticipated completion of the summer, 2018.

For the past year, Ms. Struessel has served as Dean of Students for St. Vrain Online Global Academy. She has also worked as a School Social Worker, Behavior Health Coordinator, Early Childhood Education Coordinator, Behavior Specialist, Preschool Teacher, Special Education Paraeducator and Tobacco Use Prevention Educator."

Ms. Erin Roe was approved for the position of assistant prinicipal at Niwot High School. She will enter the position effective July 1, 2018.

"Ms. Roe graduated from Saint Cloud University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political

Science with a minor in Philosophy and received an additional Bachelor of Science in

Communication Arts and Literature. Ms. Roe continued her education with a Master of

Science in Curriculum and Instruction also from Saint Cloud University. Moreover, she

completed her Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with

Principal License from the University of Northern Colorado.

For the past year, Ms. Roe has served as Dean of Students at Coal Ridge Middle

School. This transition to an administrative position has allowed her the opportunity to

impact teacher instruction and student achievement. Ms. Roe has also been a Learning

Technology Coach at Erie High School and has taught English courses at both the high

school and middle school level for twelve years."

Both position's annual salary will be calculated according to the district's schedule.
