Longmont, CO – The Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce is currently taking applications for the 2018 Leadership Longmont program. The application deadline is Friday, December 1. Applications and questions should be directed to Scott Cook at [email protected].

Leadership Longmont is a one day-a-month course for six months that introduces community members to a wide variety of community leaders in government, education, and business. Class size is limited to 20-25 students, giving students a chance to ask questions and work closely with leaders in the community and each other. Don Haddad, Superintendent of the St. Vrain Valley School District and Scott Cook, CEO of the Longmont Chamber co-lead the program.

“The Chamber is proud to offer the Leadership Longmont program. Over the years, many Leadership Longmont graduates have taken the leadership skills, training and connections they made in the class and found positions of leadership in the community. We are excited to welcome the next leaders to the class!” said Brian Berry, 2018 Chamber Board of Directors Chair.

In addition to course work, Leadership students will partake in group activities and/or events to solve various community challenges. Course fees are $450 for Chamber members and $495 for non-members. Fees cover all costs including books and breakfast and lunch meals. Leadership Longmont is open to everyone.
