Longmont's public safety communications department is operating 24/7 as it always has.
They are receiving about 500 calls per day during the COVID-19 crisis.
According to city representatives, procedures have been modified for 9-1-1 or non-emergency line calls. Dispatch operators will now ask a few screening questions in order to keep both the public and first responders safe.
