On Tuesday evening, Longmont City Council unanimously approved a grant that was awarded to the Longmont Ending Violence Initiative (LEVI).

The grant totals $7,465 and was awarded by the Justice Assistance Grant Board for Prevention and Education around Domestic and Dating Violence.

According to city council communication, the "grant will be used to continue to develop and enhance prevention education programming and outreach to the local community to increase awareness about domestic and dating violence."

LEVI is a community-wide program that provides awareness and response to incidents regarding domestic violence in the City of Longmont.
