The City of Longmont Finance Department has released the sales and use tax division analysis of taxes for the month of August 2017.

According to the report, total sales and use tax for the month of August 2017 was $6,141,097, which is an increase of 13.5% from August 2016’s $5,408,338. Current sales tax collection has increased 5.2% while current use tax collection has increased 44.1%.

So far, 2017 has seen total sales and use tax through August increase by 14%.
