Police Report: August 8, 2017

FIRE On 08/08/2017 the Longmont Fire Department and Longmont Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Longs Peak Av. reference a garage fire. The resident had the fire extinguished prior to arrival.

FIRE

On 08/08/2017 the Longmont Fire Department and Longmont Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Longs Peak Av. reference a garage fire. The resident had the fire extinguished prior to arrival. The cause of the fire was determined to be a electrical sulfer treatment device used to kill bugs. It was determined to be accidental. This case is closed.

THEFT

On August 07, 2017 a theft report was reported from the 200 block of 8th Ave. An adult female was contacted who reported two bike and a chainsaw were stolen from her backyard. There are no workable leads of suspect information. Case closed.

WARRANT ARREST

On 08/08/2017, at 1030 hours, Officers responded to the Police Department Lobby at 225 Kimbark St reference a female party with an active warrant. The female was taken into custody without incident and released on a bond.

WARRANT ARREST

On 08/08/2017 at 1230 hours officers were called to the Longmont Municipal Courts located at 225 Kimbark Street, City of Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado, USA, 80501 to contact a wanted party in the lobby. The male party was contacted, an active warrant was confirmed and the male was taken into custody, processed and bonded on the warrant. Case closed.

OTHER AGENCY ASSIST

On 08/08/2017 at about 2149 hours Officers were requested to respond to the 1300 block of Carnation Cir on an outside agency assist to attempt to locate a suspect in a recent menacing out of Boulder, CO. Case closed.

INJURY ACCIDENT

On Monday, August 7, 2017, Officers were dispatched to the interesection of Ken Pratt Blvd. and S Sunset St. in the City of Longmont, County of Boulder, and State of Colorado on report of an injury accident. One of the drivers was found to have an arrest warrant. This case is cleared by arrest.

HARASSMENT

On August 7, 2017 at about 1630 hours Longmont Police took a report of harassment that as occurring in the 2300 block of Main Street. Victim only wanted the incident documented. Case closed.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On 8-7-17, Officers from the Longmont Police Department responded to the 300 block of Southridge Place in reference to a harassment report. The case is closed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On August 7, 2017 at approximately 2200 hours officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Sunset Drive on a criminal mischief. An unknown suspect smashed the window to a residence. Case closed

WARRANT ARREST

On Tuesday, 08/08/17 at approximately 0309 hours, Longmont Police conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Trade Center Ave. The adult female driver was arrested for an active warrant and was later transported to the Boulder County Jail.

FDC/CRIME TRESPASS

On August 8, 2017 Longmont Police responded to the 000 blk of Nome Ct on a FDC call. No suspect information was available and the case is closed.

FDC/CRIME TRESPASS

On 08/08/2017, Officers responded to 200 block of Caywood Drive in refrence to a criminal trespass report. Resident reported two vehicles were broken into and items were missing from the vehicles. No suspect information. Case closed.

PROTECTION ORDER

On 080817, officers investigated an ongoing incident of protection order violations occurring throughout the City of Longmont. The case is open and under investigation.

MEDICAL ASSIST

On Monday, August 7, 2017 Longmont Police repsoned to the 2200 block of Pratt Street to assist AMR with a medical situation. Case closed.

SHOPLIFT

On 08/08/2017 at approximately 1405 hours Officers were dispatched to a shoptlifting in progress located in the 1200 block of S Hover Street, City of Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado, USA 80503. Subjects were contacted leaving the store without paying for items. One adult female was placed into custody and later transported to the Boulder County Jail. One adult male was issued a summons. Case Closed.

THEFT

An employee of a Longmont business in the 100 block of South Main Street reported a theft of painting equipment. The case remains open pending additional follow-up.

THEFT

On Tuesday, August 8, 2017 Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Sunlight Drive in reference to a theft with a 23 year old female victim. This case is closed for insufficient suspect leads.

ASSAULT

On August 8, 2017 the Longmont Police Department investigated a reported assault that occurred in the 1200 block of S. Hover St. This case is open pending contact with the suspect.

THEFT

On Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at about 1638 hours Longmont Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of McCall Place on a report of a theft. Upon arrival Officers were informed someone stole a cellphone. Case closed.

DRUG VIOLATION

On Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at approximately 1754 hours, I, Officer Munoz was dispatched to a narcotics complaint on the 1700 block of Main Street. The report is open for investigation.

THEFT

On 080817, an adult male took a handgun out of a residence he was staying in without permission. The gun was later returned and the owner wished to pursue charges for the attempted theft. Case is open pending warrant approval.

HARASSMENT

On 8/8/17, officers handled a call regarding possible harassment between juveniles via text messages. This case is open.

WARRANT ARREST

On 080817, officers contacted an adult male in the area of 17th Ave and Shavano St on a traffic stop. The male had two warrants for his arrest and was taken into custody. Case is cleared by arrest.
