Police Report: April 17, 2018

DRUG VIOLATION 1503 On April 16, 2018, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 700 block of Crisman Drive on a welfare check. One adult female was arrested for possession of narcotics and violation of a protection order.

DRUG VIOLATION 1503

On April 16, 2018, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 700 block of Crisman Drive on a welfare check. One adult female was arrested for possession of narcotics and violation of a protection order. During the course of the investigation, a Longmont police officer was accidentally exposed to LSD. This case is cleared by arrest.

THEFT

On April 17, 2018 a theft report was received from the 300 block of Chinook Ave. An adult male was contacted who reported his front license plate was stolen. There is no suspect information. Case closed.

OTHER AGENCY ASSIST

On 04-17-18 the Longmont Police located a stolen license plate. The plate was seized. There were no suspects to the theft of the plate. The case is closed.

FRAUD

On April 17, 2018 a fraud report was received from the 1300 block of Dogwood Ln. An adult female was contacted who reported an on-line correspondence has stolen a large amount of money from her. Case is under investigation.

CHILD

On 04/17/18 at approximately 1539 hours, a mental health caseworker called the Longmont Police Department to report suspected child abuse. An investigation was conducted and there is no probable cause to support the allegations. The case is closed.

FRAUD

On April 17, 2018 a fraud report was received from the 2500 block of Main Street. An adult female reported her debit card was used in making fraudulent purchases. There is no suspect information. Case closed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018 Longmont Police Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Main Street in reference to a criminal mischief. A 21 year old female was issued a summons. Case cleared by arrest-summons only.

PROTECTION ORDER

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, Officer responded to the 100 Block of Main St in regards to a theft. An adult male was later taken into custody. Clear arrest.

WARRANT ARREST

On 041618 the Longmont Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Hover Street. A 26 year old male occupant of the vehicle was arrested on a warrant. Cleared by arrest.

MISSING PERSON

On April 16, 2018, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Tulip St. on a missing at-risk adult. The female was later located. This case is closed.

WARRANT ARREST

On Monday, 04/16/2018, Longmont Police Officers responded to the area of E Longs Peak Ave and Lashley St in reference to an attempt to locate an adult female who had an active arrest warrant. The female was located, arrested, and taken to the Boulder County Jail. Case Closed.

WARRANT ARREST

On April 17th, 2018, Officer's conducted a traffic stop in the area of Wedgewood Ave and Hover Street. Two adult males were contacted. The driver was arrested on prior outstanding warrants and new traffic charges. Case cleared by arrest.

BURGLARY

On Tuesday, 04/17/18 a report was taken reference a criminal mischief which was later determined to be a burglary which occurred in the 500 Blk. of Main St. The case is closed as suspect is unknown.

FOLLOW UP

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, the Longmont Police Department began investigating an adult male for failure to register as a sex offender. The case remains open pending additional follow-up.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT

On Tuesday, 04/17/18, A woman was bitten by her own dogs while trying to break up a dog fight. The woman was having the bite treated and the dogs will be under quarantine at home.

SEX ASSAULT

The Longmont Police department is currently working a possession of child pornography case. The case is open.

VICIOUS DOG

A Longmont male was bitten by a dog in the 1600 block of 19th Avenue. The dog was placed on quarantine.

DEATH

On 04/17/2018 Longmont Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of S Bowen on a welfare check. An adult male was found to be deceased. Case is closed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, Longmont Police Department investigated a report of criminal mischief in the 1600 block of Pace St. Case still under investigation. Case Open.

LOST PROPERTY

On Tuesday April 17, 2018, the Longmont Police Department took a report in reference to a lost license plate. The case is closed.

THEFT

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018 Longmont Police Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Main Street reference a theft. This case remains open for investigation.

SHOPLIFT

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 1855 hours, Longmont Police responded to the 1200 block of S Hover St in reference to a juvenile male shoplifting. A 16-year-old male was referred to restorative justice. This case is exceptionally cleared.

THEFT

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, Longmont Police took a report of stoen property in the 1700 block of Main St. No suspect information. Case closed.
