Longmont Police Report: July 12, 2018

PROTECTION ORDER On 071118 the Longmont Police Department investigated a protection order violation which occurred in the 2400 block of Collyer Street. A 16 year old male violated a protection order by attempting to contact a 14 year old female.

PROTECTION ORDER

On 071118 the Longmont Police Department investigated a protection order violation which occurred in the 2400 block of Collyer Street. A 16 year old male violated a protection order by attempting to contact a 14 year old female. The male sent repeated messages both prior to and after being served the protection order. The male was contacted and arrested on Domestic Violence related Stalking and Violation of a Protection Order. Cleared by arrest.

THEFT

On July 12, 2018 a theft report was received from the 100 block of Sunset St. An adult male reported his bike was stolen from his front yard. There is no suspect information. Case closed.

THEFT

On July 12, 2018 a theft report was received from the 3000 block of Hwy 119. An adult male reported his license plate was stolen from his vehicle. There is no suspect information. Case closed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On July 12, 2018 a criminal mischief report was received from the 1200 block of South Collyer. An adult male reported his vehicle was damaged while it was parked outside of his residence. There is no suspect information. Case closed.

BURGLARY

On Thursday 07/12/2018 at 1335 hours a Longmont Police Officer investigated a second degree burglary and theft which took place in the 10 block of 3rd Avenue in the city of Longmont on Tuesday 07/10/2018. This case is closed with no active leads.

CRIM MISCHIEF IN PROGRESS

On July 12, 2018 a criminal damage report was received from the 1200 block of South Collyer. An adult male reported some surveillance camera were damaged. There is no suspect information. Case closed.

OTHER AGENCY ASSIST

The Longmont Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit assisted Lakewood Police Department with an investigation by performing a cell phone data extraction. All inquiries should be directed to the Lakewood Police Department.

FOLLOW UP

On July 10, 2018 the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Ken Pratt Blvd and trespassed an adult female from a private business. This case is closed.

ASSIST

On Thursday, 071218 officers investigated a misuse of a financial device involving a juvenile female in the 3500 block of Larkspur Dr. The case was referred to restorative justice.

DISTURBANCE

On Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at about 2308 hours, Longmont Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Dutchess Drive on a report of a disturbance. Case closed.

ASSIST

On Thursday 071218 at approximately 0025 hours, the Longmont Police Department took an information report about an adult female with a mental health disorder. Case is closed.

DUI

On Thursday 071218 at approximately 0447 hours, the Longmont Police Department responded on a hit and run crash in the 900 block of 11th Ave. The run vehicle was located and an adult male subsequently arrested for DUI without incident. Case cleared by arrest.

WARRANT ARREST

On Thursday, 07/12/18 at approximately 0504 hours, Longmont Police conducted a traffic stop near Ken Pratt Blvd and S Emery St. An adult male was arrested for an active warrant. Case cleared by arrest.

INTRUSION ALARM

On July 12, 2018, a business' alarm in the 1500 block of Main St. was activated by a worker from a neighboring business. An investigation showed no crime was committed, the case is closed.

VICIOUS DOG

On 7/12/18, Thursday a 6 year old Longmont girl was bitten by a dog. The owner was issued a written warning and the dog was put on a 10 day quarantine.

WARRANT ARREST

On Thursday July 12, 2018 at approximately 1522 hours, Officer's responded to the Longmont Police Department Lobby at 225 Kimbark St for the report of a person turning themselves in on a warrant. Cleared by arrest.

CHILD

On Thursday, July 11, 2018, at approximately 1620 hours, Longmont Police responded to a missing child in the 100 block of Grant St. The 19-month-old child was located and returned home safely. This report is non criminal and will be closed.

CHILD

On Thursday, July 12, 2018 at about 1731 hours, Officers with the Longmont Police Department responded to the intersection of Gay St. and 16th Ave., Longmont, CO for the report of a child walking on the street. The parent of the child was later located. No criminal charges were found. Case Cleared.

FRAUD

On Thursday, 07/12/2018 Longmont Police Officers took a report over the phone of an adult male attempting to use possibly stolen checks to buy liquor. Case refered to detectives for review.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at approximately 1905 hours, Longmont Police received a call for a restraining order violation, in the 1200 block of Collyer St. The protected party was contacted and said the restrained party has not been there. This case is closed.
