Longmont Police Report: August 6, 2018

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A Longmont, CO resident reported two tires were vandalized on his vehicle while it was parked in the 500 block of Main Street. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

BURGLARY

On August 6th, 2018, Officers responded to the 1800 BLK of Hover Street on an intrusion alarm of a business. Upon investigation, Officers found someone had attempted to gain entry into the business by damaging a door. This case will be open for further investigation.

FRAUD

On August 06, 2018 a theft report was received from the 1700 block of Cook Ct. An adult female reported she was a victim of a scam and money was stolen from her. There is no suspect information. Case closed.

THEFT

On August 06, 2018 a theft report was received from the 400 block of 4th Ave. An adult male reported a package was stolen from the front porch of his business. There is no suspect information. Case is closed.

THEFT

On August 06, 2018 a theft report was received from the 1500 block of Drake Street. An adult female reported her medication was stolen. Case is open.

THEFT

On August 06, 2018 a theft report was received from the 800 block of 17th Ave. An adult male reported his medication was stolen. Case is open.

CRIM MISCHIEF IN PROGRESS

On 07/25/2018 Longmont police responded to the 600 block of 9th Ave., reference a reported disturbance. An adult male was located at the address in violation of a protection order, and was found to have caused damage to property. The male was taken into custody without incident, and transported to the Boulder County Jail.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On Sunday July 29, 2018 at approximately 1145 hours an officer took an informational report reference a domestic incident which occurred in the 1200 block of Tulip St.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On 08/05/2018, Longmont Police responded to the 500 block of Kimbark St. regarding a cold criminal mischief report. Police responded and collected the information. At this time, no suspects have been arrested and the case is currently closed.

On 08/05/2018, Longmont Police responded to the 400 block of Main St. regarding a cold criminal mischief report. Police responded and collected the available information. At this time, no suspects have been arrested and the case is currently closed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On 08/05/2018, Longmont Police responded to the 500 block of 5th Ave. regarding a cold criminal mischief report. Police responded and collected the available information. At this time, no suspects have been arrested and the case is currently closed.

MENACING

On 08/05/2018, at approximately 1817 hours, Longmont Police responded to the 700 block of Longs Peak Ave, to an address in the City of Longmont, County of Boulder, and State of Colorado reference a menacing. After a thorough investigation, one adult female was contacted and arrested without incident. Case cleared by arrest.

HARASSMENT

On Sunday, August 5, 2018 at about 2130 hours, Longmont Police took a report of someone threatening to post images on social media if the person did not pay a disclosed amount of money. Case closed.

WARRANT ARREST

On 8/6/18, officers contacted parties in the east breezeway of the 300 block of Main St for sleeping in the breezeway. An adult female was found to have an outstanding warrant. She was placed into custody and later tranpsorted to Boulder County Jail. This case is cleared by arrest.

INFORMATION

On 08/06/2018 Longmont Police contacted a juvenile male in the 1700 block of Lamplighter. He was found to be reported as a missing person/runaway. His guardian was notified and this report is for informational purposes only. Case closed.

DRUG VIOLATION

On Monday 08/06/2018 at 0920 hours, Longmont Police Officers took a thirty-seven year old man into custody for possession of controlled substances (schedule II) and a warrant for possession of burglary tools/controlled substance in the 4500 block of Redmond Drive in the city of Longmont. This case is cleared by arrest.

BURGLARY

On 08-06-18 the Longmont Police responded to a "cold burglary" at a local storage facility. The event could be civil in nature and is closed due to lack of information and evidence to corroborate a crime.

THEFT

A Longmont resident in the 2200 block of Gay Street reported a theft of jewelry. The case status is open and has been forwarded for follow up.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On Monday, August 6, 2018 officers responded to the 600 block of Alpine St in regards to a physical domestic violence call that just occurred. An adult male claimed an adult female had assaulted him. After investigation an adult female was taken into custody. Clear by arrest.

SUSPICIOUS SITUATION

On 08/06/2018, Longmont Police responded to the area near River Rd. and Barnard Ct. regarding a suspicous situation. Police investigated the matter and determined that no crime had occurred. No arrests have been made, and the case is closed.

VICIOUS DOG

A Longmont woman was bitten by her cat in the 300 block of Francis Street. The cat was surrendered to the Longmont Humane Society and placed on quarantine.

SEX ASSAULT

On 08/06/2018 around 1545 hours the Longmont Police Depatment was called about a cold sex assault that occured in the previous days between a minor female and minor male in the area of Clover Basin Drive and Grandview Meadows Drive. An investigation is ongoing.

DISTURBANCE

On Monday, August 6, 2018, at approximately 1700 hours, officers responded to the 200 block of Saint Clair Avenue on a neighbor problem. Officers determined that the neighbors were still up set with each other over an incident that occurred the day before. An information report was completed to document the on going problem. The case is closed.
