Longmont Police Report: August 30, 2018

DOMESTIC INCIDENT On Wednesday 08/29/18 at approximately 2311 hours, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1800 block of Warren Ave. on a domestic incident. One adult male was arrested without incident. Case cleared by arrest.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On Wednesday 08/29/18 at approximately 2311 hours, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1800 block of Warren Ave. on a domestic incident. One adult male was arrested without incident. Case cleared by arrest.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On August 30, 2018 at approximately 0256 hours Longmont Police responded to the 1300 block of South Sherman Street on the report of a domestic incident. An adult male was arrested. Case closed.

PROTECTION ORDER

On 08/30/2018, at approximately 1115 hours, Longmont Police located an adult female who had active misdemeanor warrants for her arrest in the 700 block of Longs Peak Avenue. The adult female and an additional adult male were also both arrested on protection order violations. The case was cleared arrest.

THEFT

On Thursday, 08/30/18, a report was taken reference a theft which occurred in the 600 Blk. of Longs Peak Ave. The case is under investigation.

HARASSMENT

On August 30, 2018, Longmont Police responded to the 1400 block of Grant Way on the report of a harassment. Two females were contacted and a report taken. This case is closed.

SEX ASSAULT

On 08/30/2018 Longmont Police took a report of a possible sex trafficking case of a juvenile who lives within the city limits. No claims or allegations were made about the juvenile. A report was taken for informational purposes only and the case is closed.

BURGLARY

On Wednesday, August 29th, 2018, Longmont Officers responded to the 1700 block of 9th on a burglary. A report was taken and case is closed.

WELFARE CHECK

On August 29, 2018, Longmont Police responded to the 1600 block of Main St. on a welfare check. An adult female was contacted and placed on a mental health hold. This case is closed.

VICIOUS DOG

On Wednesday 08/29/2018 at approximately 2248 police responded to a hospital in relation to a dog bite. The incident occurred in the 200 block Bross Street at approximately 2200 hours. The case was referred to the Longmont Animal Control Division and will be closed.

DUI

On Thursday 08/30/18 at approximately 0214 hours, the Longmont Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of Ken Pratt Blvd. and S. Pratt Pkwy. One adult female was arrested for DUI without incident. Case cleared by arrest.

FOLLOW UP

On Thursday, August 30, 2018, the Longmont Police Department began investigating an adult male for failure to register as a sex offender. The case remains open pending additional follow-up.

VICIOUS DOG

On 08/28/18, a woman was bitten by a dog that she leaned over to kiss it on the head. The dog will be quarantined.

AUTO THEFT

On Thursday, 08/30/2018 at about 1416 hours officers received a report of a stolen car from the 2200 block of Santa Fe Drive in the City of Longmont, County of Boulder and State of Colorado. At the scene of the stolen vehicle was another vehicle left running in the middle of the street with no occupants. That vehicle ended up being stolen from a burglary in the Aurora CO area. Case open.

SEX ASSAULT

On 08/30/18, Officers responded to the 00 block of 15th Ave. reference a sex assault on two juvenile females by an adult male. The case is open.

THEFT

On Thursday August 30, 2018 at approximately 1823 hours, officers conducted follow up in regards to 18-7816, in the City of Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado. Cleared by summons.

SHOPLIFT

On August 30, 2018 at about 2010 hours, Officers with the Longmont Police Department responded to the 550 Blk of S. Hover St., Longmont, CO for the report of a theft. Two suspects were identified during the theft. They were later provided with a Community Restorative Justice referral. Case Closed.

DISTURBANCE

On Thursday, 08/30/2018 Longmont Police officers responded to the area of 17th Ave and Memory Ln. in reference to a suicidal party. A juvenile female was contacted and taken to Longs Peak Hospital on a mental health hold. Case Closed.
