Longmont Police Report 11/28/18

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

A Longmont resident reported a first degree criminal trespass and theft in the 200 block of Sweet Valley Court. A purse and backpack were stolen. Case is closed due to lack of suspect information.

INJURY ACCIDENT

On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at around 22:17 hours, Longmont police investigated a car accident in the 2100 block of Main Street. An adult female was arrested and the investigation is closed.

WARRANT ARREST

On 11/28/18, at 02:27 hours, an adult male transient was contacted in the 2300 block of Pratt Street and found to have 3 felony warrants. He was arrested and taken to jail.

INFORMATION

On November 28, 2018, an auto theft report was received from the 300 block of 21st Avenue. An adult female reported her vehicle was stolen. After further investigation it was discovered the vehicle had been towed. Case is closed.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

On Wednesday, 11/28/18, a report was taken reference a criminal trespass, criminal mischief and theft which occurred in the 1100 block of East 5th Avenue. The case is closed as suspects are unknown.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT

On November 28, 2018, Longmont officers investigated a reported possible suicide in the 1500 block of Calkins Avenue. An adult male took his own life inside of the residence. Detectives responded and the case is open and under investigation.

FRAUD

On November 28, 2018, an identity theft report was received from the 600 block of Goss Avenue. An adult male reported a fraudulent phone account was opened using his personal information. Case is closed.

WARRANT ARREST

On 11/28/18, at 12:18 hours, an adult female turned herself in to the Longmont police on an active warrant. The adult female was taken into custody on the warrant and was released after posting bond. The case was cleared by arrest.

THEFT

On November 28, 2018, a theft report was received from the 300 block of Ken Pratt Boulevard. An adult male reported the theft of tools from a department store. Case is closed.

WELFARE CHECK

On Tuesday, 11/28/18, at approximately 18:00 hours, officers of the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Main Street in response to a disturbance. An adult female was arrested for obstruction. This case is cleared by arrest.

WARRANT ARREST

On 11/27/18, Longmont police officers were dispatched to locate an adult male who had an active warrant for his arrest. Officers were able to locate that male and he was placed into custody and taken to jail. This case is closed.

SHOPLIFT

On 11/27/18, officers responded to the 1600 block of Hover Street on the report of a shoplift. There are no suspect identified. This case is closed.

TRAFFIC STOP

On Tuesday, 11/27/18, at approximately 22:14 hours, the Longmont Police Department attempted to make a traffic stop in the 700 block of Main Street. A vehicle eluded officers, and the suspect was later identified. Case is open.

HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT

On 11/27/18, at 23:00 hours, officers responded to a hit and run accident involving a car and a bicyclist on 9th near Pace Street. An unknown person in an unknown type car sideswiped an adult male resident of Longmont while riding his bike on 9th. There are no leads and the matter is closed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Wednesday, November 28, 2018, Longmont police responded to the 2200 block of Emery Street in response to a report of criminal mischief. A 19 year-old male reported his vehicle was vandalized. The case is closed due to lack of suspect information.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Wednesday, 11/28/18, at approximately 04:37 hours, Longmont police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Boston Avenue in reference to a glass break intrusion alarm. A damaged window was found and video obtained of an unknown male subject damaging the window with a bat-like object. The case is closed.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

A Longmont resident reported a first degree criminal trespass in the 600 block of Crawford Circle. A vehicle window was broken to steal items. Case is closed due to lack of suspect information.

VICIOUS DOG

A Longmont woman was bitten by a neighbor's dog. The dog was placed under quarantine.

SUSPICIOUS SITUATION

On 11/28/18, Longmont police responded to the 900 block of Grandview Meadows Drive reference a harassment. The incident was investigated and later closed due to lack of evidence.

INFORMATION

On 11/28/18, Longmont police responded to the 4400 block of Clover Basin Drive to assist BCHHS.

FRAUD

An employee of a Longmont business reported forgery/counterfeit currency in the 700 block of Boston Avenue. This case is currently open.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

On Wednesday, 11/28/18, officers took a report of a cold FDC in the 00 block of Springdale Place. There are no suspects at this time and so the case will be closed.

SHOPLIFT

On Wednesday, 11/28/18, Longmont police officers responded to the area of Clover Basin Drive and Hover Street in reference to a shoplift in progress. The unidentified male suspect left the scene before officers arrived. Case closed - Lack of leads.

DUI

On Wednesday, 11/28/18, Longmont police officers responded to the area of 15th Avenue and Gay Street in reference to a hit and run accident. An adult male was contacted, however he fled the scene on foot. After a short foot pursuit, and physical altercation, the male was taken into custody without injuries for active arrest warrants and DUI. Case closed.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

On Wednesday, 11/28/18, Longmont police officers responded to the area of South Martin Street and Ken Pratt Boulevard in reference to an indecent exposure. An adult female victim was contacted and a report was taken. The case remains open pending further investigation.

FRAUD

On Wednesday, 11/28/18, Longmont police officers responded to the area of South Emery Street and Ken Pratt Boulevard in reference to recovered counterfeit bills. No suspect was identified. Case closed - Lack of leads.
