City of Longmont Seeks Residents to Serve on City Boards

These boards and commissions serve as advisory groups to help City Council learn about and make decisions on a wide variety of issues that affect the safety, economy, and quality of life of Longmont’s citizens and businesses.

Becoming a member of a city board, committee or commission offers Longmont citizens the opportunity to serve their community, open their minds on issues and be heard. Working together we can successfully prepare for our city’s future.

These boards and commissions serve as advisory groups to help City Council learn about and make decisions on a wide variety of issues that affect the safety, economy, and quality of life of Longmont’s citizens and businesses.

As a member of these boards and commissions, residents research and discuss local issues and offer their recommendations to Longmont City Council. Board members generally spend a few hours a month preparing for and attending meetings usually hosted in a Longmont City building.

*Special qualifications required
Applicants must be a registered voter of Longmont for at least one year prior to being appointed and must reside inside Longmont City limits.
