City Of Longmont Proclaims September 11th, 2018 “Mwebaza Day”

Mwebaza Day celebrates the importance of cross-cultural awareness and is promoted by the Mwebaza Foundation.

According to their website: “The Mwebaza Foundation’s mission is to enrich the relationships among our Colorado and African partner schools through cross-cultural exchange and service learning that enhances educational opportunities, fosters a healthy learning environment, and promotes self-sufficiency.”

You can hear the mayor read the proclamation and watch the people responsible, along with several of the participating school-aged children, address the city council on what they do.
