Mayor’s Early Education Summit 
The community is invited to participate in the Mayor’s Early Education Summit to help shape the future of early childhood education in Longmont from 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, April 27, at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Avenue. Coffee with Council Cancelled
Coffee with Council scheduled for Saturday, April 27, has been cancelled so that council members can attend the Mayor’s Early Education Summit. The next Coffee with Council will be on Saturday, May 18, at the Firehouse Arts Center, 667 4th Avenue. For more information call the City Manager’s Office at 303-651-8601.

Support Sister Cities at the Ed Green Dinner
The annual Ed Green Scholarship Dinner from 6:30 to 9 pm on Friday, April 26, at the Xilinx Summit Retreat,
3100 Logic Drive, celebrates and supports the Longmont Sister Cities program and the student ambassadors who have been awarded an Ed and Christine Green scholarship. Purchase tickets for $10 per person or $25 per family at the door.

Downtown Longmont Parking Study Update
Representatives from a parking and access study will be in the field on Saturday, April 27 and Thursday, May 2 taking manual automobile counts in the Downtown area. Earlier this month, the Longmont Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) contracted with Kimley-Horn and Associates (Kimley-Horn) to provide an update of the Downtown Longmont Parking and Access Study. The update is intended to assess how parking
patterns have changed since the initial study conducted by Kimley-Horn in 2016, as well as measure the impacts of parking regulation changes implemented in 2017.

Help Build STEAM Along the St. Vrain
The Longmont City Council’s vision for Longmont includes a vibrant economic, residential, cultural and entertainment focus that is sustainable and respects the natural environment. The Council is targeting this effort in a geographic area north of St. Vrain Creek and would like your opinion on what would make this area an epicenter of science, technology, education, arts and entrepreneurialism. Do you envision a performing arts center? Or a campus for higher education? An environmental learning center along the creek? Hotel and conference center? Longmont Museum Seeks Input on Future Programming
The Longmont Museum is looking to the future and would like your input on concepts for museum programs. You are invited and encouraged to take a simple 2-minute on-line survey by going to http://bit.ly/LeadershipLongmont prior to May 26. Your thoughts and ideas are extremely important and welcomed.

Register Now for Triathlon Weekend
Swim, bike and run! Longmont Recreation Services, along with Altitude Physical Therapy, presents the annual Longmont Triathlon Weekend for children and adults June 1 and 2. Find race

Drop-in Help at the Senior Computer Center
Between 1 and 3 pm on Thursday, May 2, drop in at the Lashley Street Station, 1200 Lashley Street, for one-on-one assistance with your laptop, tablet, phone or e-reader provided by the Senior Computer Technology Center. No registration is required. The cost is $2, and you can pay at the door.

Longmont Celebrates Cinco de Mayo

Shred Your Private Documents for Free
Take boxed or bagged papers to be shredded to the Waste Diversion Center at 140 Martin Street between 9 am and 2 pm on Saturday, May 4. This is for residential documents only; no business documents accepted. Please also take ID and a copy of your most recent Longmont utility bill. Día – Diversity in Action – at the Library
The Library’s third annual celebration of children, books, and diversity, “Día – Diversity in Action/Diversidad en Acción,” features music, dancing, games, crafts, and treats for the whole family. The Skyline High School Mariachi Band will headline this bilingual event from 2 to 3:30 pm on Sunday, May 5, at the Library, 409 4th Avenue. No registration is required and all ages are welcome.
