Know a teen who is looking for a fun and meaningful volunteer experience? Look no further! The Library is currently accepting applications for its annual Teen Winter/Spring Volunteer Program. This year’s program will run from Monday, January 7 through Friday, May 17, 2019, and those selected will develop new skills and gain practical experience while providing a valuable service to the community. Volunteer shifts are for two hours at a time, and volunteers may not exceed three shifts per week.

Interested teens aged 14 to 17 are welcome to apply online or in person by December 17 at 9 pm. A downloadable and printable version of the application is also available online. After submitting an application, applicants will be asked to set up an interview with the Library’s Head of Children’s and Teens services and, if selected for a position, will be required to attend a brief training session before beginning the program.

Interested teens can apply online at http://bit.ly/TeenVols. Those without internet access or an email address may call (303) 651-8477 or stop by the Children’s and Teens Information Desk. The Library is excited to be able to offer these opportunities to local teens, very appreciative of their contributions, and looking forward to another great group of volunteers.
