'Tis the season for comfort food, good music, and welcoming new friends! On Wednesday, December 13th from 11am to 1:30pm, the Longmont Senior Center hosts a holiday luncheon featuring Christmas tunes country-style with Susan Dailey and company. This concert brings community together to break bread and reflect on the year past and the year ahead over warm, delicious comfort foods. This year's menu boasts pot roast, veggies, salad, and pie.

"Events like this are what put the 'heart' in our community. We come together, we eat, we enjoy the entertainment, and it's all in a spirit of goodwill and harmony for the coming year," says program supervisor Theresa Shulte. The Longmont Senior Center hosts several lunches, classes, programs, support groups, and trips throughout the year for 55+ members of the community. There's no membership fee to join the Senior Center, and scholarship funds for individual programs are available starting Jan 2, 2018.

If you want to attend the holiday luncheon, be sure to register early as this event has limited seating. To register, call the LSC at 303-651-8411. Cost to attend is $5 for residents, $6 for non-residents. For more programs, view the Senior's Center's quarterly GO Catalog online.
