On Friday, September 1, 2017, construction will begin on the second phase of the City of Longmont's park renewal project at Garden Acres Community Park. The first phase began in spring of this year, which included a new irrigation pump station in the northeast corner of the park, and will wrap up this fall. Improvements planned for the second phase include a new restroom facility, building renovations, new playgrounds, concrete walk improvements, lighting, site furnishings, a new trash enclosure, landscaping, irrigation, and fencing. Work will be broken up into several areas to be completed in a phased approach. Overall completion is scheduled for fall of 2018.

The park will remain open during construction; however, specific areas under construction will be closed to the public. As necessary, players, spectators and park users will be asked to use alternative access points throughout the duration of the renovation project. The park's sports complex will be closed from November 2017, through the end of February 2018.

Your patience is appreciated as the City renovates this highly used Community Park. Learn more about the Garden Acres Park Renewal on the project web page.
