Guided History Tours at Sandstone Ranch

Enjoy a 90-minute guided indoor and, weather permitting, outdoor tour of the historic Morse Coffin family home at 10:30 am or noon on Saturday, March 10, at the Sandstone Ranch Visitors & Learning Center, 3001 Sandstone Drive. Learn about the home’s early history, a major renovation in the 1900s, and all that Sandstone Ranch offers our community today. All ages are welcome. Call 303-651-8404 to register. March Meltdown at the Ice Pavilion

Celebrate the end of a great winter season at the annual March Meltdown from 1:30 to 6 pm on Sunday, March 11, at the Longmont Ice Pavilion, 725 8th Avenue. Enjoy ice skating, ice painting and free ice cream while supplies last. Regular admission fees apply. Serve Your City on the Youth Council

The Longmont Youth Council (LYC) is seeking new members. Over the last 10 years, the LYC has been involved in projects including Halloween for the Hungry,

Discovery Days at the Library

Beginning March 13, Miss Leigh from the Longmont Museum’s Discovery Days program is bringing fun and fast crafts to the Library at 409 4th Avenue from 10 am to noon on the second Tuesday and Wednesday of the month. Come craft, color, cut, and create before or after storytime. Ages 2 to 7 are welcome with accompanying caretaker. This program continues through May. No registration required.

Landlord Alliance Training: New Tax Laws

Attorneys Michael Sasin and Matthew Athey will bring their knowledge and experience in tax and landlord issues to Landlord Alliance Training from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, March 14, at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak

Public Meeting on Homeless Services

Please join the Longmont Housing Opportunities Team from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Monday, March 19, at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Avenue, for a community roundtable discussion about services for homeless persons in Longmont. Individuals, businesses, faith groups, community organizations, nonprofits, and government collaborators are invited to listen and engage in a structured dialogue. Together, participants will explore topics and resources relative to people experiencing homelessness and consider how, together, we might meet the needs of these vulnerable community members.

Spirit of Arbor Day Tree Sale

In honor of Colorado Arbor Day on April 20, Forestry Services is coordinating a community tree sale. The 2018 Tree Sale is

offered by reserve purchase only. From March 15 to April 15, residents can view and reserve trees online at LongmontColorado.gov/Forestry or by calling 303-651-8416. A variety of trees will be available at the below-wholesale cost of $70 each. This sale is limited to Longmont residents, and there is a two-tree limit per household. Buyers can pick up their reserved trees from 8 am to noon on Saturday, April 21, at the City’s Sunset Campus, 7 S. Sunset Street. There will be no onsite sales.
