Musk Thistle Field Day

Join us for the Musk Thistle Field Day!

Musk thistle (Carduus nutans) is a problematic noxious weed in Boulder County. It can produce thousands of seeds per plant and outcompete native plants — and it is dropping it’s seeds now!

Come spend the morning in a beautiful remnant prairie at Sandstone Ranch and help control musk thistle by cutting seed heads and collecting them in trash bags. We’ll also spend time identifying native grasses and wildflowers. Meet in the upper parking lot near the Visitor’s Center.

Register through JoinUs, the new Parks, Open Space and Trails volunteer portal.
