South Pratt Parkway Bridge Replacement Begins

Friday

Crews will begin moving equipment into the area starting Friday, but lane closures are not anticipated until late January.

Replacement of the South Pratt Parkway Bridge is beginning. Zak Dirt, the project contractor, will begin moving equipment into the work area starting Friday. Prepping the jobsite and clearing a staging area will begin Tuesday.

Lane closures related to the bridge project are anticipated to begin near the end of January. One traffic lane will be kept open in each direction for most of the project. Residents and businesses in the area will be kept

informed about detours and closures, and updates will be available on the project hotline, 303-219-7474.

This project currently has an estimated completion date of September 2018.

Project Overview

The South Pratt Parkway Bridge was built in the late 1970s and is too narrow for traffic volumes that now cross it daily. The new bridge will be wider to safely carry traffic and to provide pedestrian and cyclist facilities along both sides, as well as to safely pass 100-year flood flows of the St. Vrain Creek.
