Longmont city government observes the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, January 15. Most City facilities will be closed. The St. Vrain Memorial Building will be closed, but all other Recreation facilities will be open regular hours. Centennial Pool will hold extended open swim from 10 am to 3 pm, and open skate at the Ice Pavilion will begin at 10:15 am. Trash, recycling and composting collection will be one day later than usual throughout the week.

On Monday, January 15, Longmont’s annual MLK Day Celebration, “All Cultures One Voice,” will feature dramatizations, gospel choirs, dancers, a Keynote Speaker from Atlanta, Attorney Rodney K.
