Beware of Election Calls Claiming to Represent City

The City of Longmont is warning residents about phone calls claiming to be conducting election polling on behalf of the City.

The City of Longmont is warning residents about phone calls claiming to be conducting election polling on behalf of the City. The City of Longmont is not conducting any election polling and is not paying any third party for polling services.

Some Longmont residents report they are receiving phone calls that claim that the City of Longmont is gathering information on the upcoming November election. The City never conducts voter surveys on City Council candidates.  

The upcoming election to be held on November 5, 2019 will be coordinated by the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder's Office. The City of
Longmont has added several ballot questions to the upcoming general election ballot including four city council positions, and tax questions about building a new swimming pool and street maintenance, among other items.
