In August 2018, Centennial pool closed for an extended period of time after a faulty sump pump caused flooding and damage to electrical systems. After nine months, we’re happy to announce that Centennial Pool reopened for business at 5:15am on Tuesday, May 14th. The pool will be open for lessons, lap & open swims, fitness classes, and room rentals. The entire pool will be accessible, but diving boards will not be installed until later this summer.

“We have five City pools, but
three are seasonal outdoor pools. Centennial Pool is an important location for swim teams, swim lessons, and swimming opportunities in Longmont all year long,” says Sara Taylor of Recreation and Golf Services. “We worked very hard to accommodate all of our swim lessons and other aquatics programs throughout the year at the Longmont Recreation Center, but it’s great to get this pool open for the community once again.”

As programming at Centennial Pool ramps up, keep in mind that the pool will be closed for upcoming holidays including Memorial Weekend (May 25-27), Triathlon Weekend (June 1-2), the July 4th holiday, and Labor Day (September 2).
