Longmont software start-up ZenergyRising is the first company to be accepted into an Accelerator program run by Innovate Longmont. The developer is working on a patent-pending community cloud platform to support medical device maintenance and the required reporting that goes along with it, called TechZenergy.

Kelly MacInnis, the chief technology officer of ZenergyRising, offered a statement. "Our acceptance into Innovate Longmont is a huge opportunity for us to expand our knowledge and to help us integrate our business into the Longmont Technology environment. We are looking forward to working with our larger community.

Innovate Longmont is a start-up platform operated by a group of organizations, including Longmont EDP, TinkerMill, Boulder SBDC, Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, and Startup Longmont. The program offers opportunities to entrepreneurs with innovative ideas through funding, accelerators and production at their in-house studio.

ZenergyRising President Curtis Lightburn was positive when stating that "this is a strong validation of the TechZenergy platform and the need for our tools. As a tech start-up, we are grateful for the opportunity to leverage Innovate Longmont's resources, network and expertise."
