Scott Cook Appointed New CEO of the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce

Longmont, Colorado - The Board of Directors of the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Mr. Scott Cook, current Event and Program Director, has accepted the position as the new CEO of the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce.

Longmont, Colorado - The Board of Directors of the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Mr. Scott Cook, current Event and Program Director, has accepted the position as the new CEO of the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Cook is well-known in the community for his collaborative leadership style, and for the high-quality business events and programs he has coordinated for the Chamber members over the past 10 years. Events and collaborations include Unity in the Community, PEAK Manufacturing & Tech Expo and the Northwest Chamber Alliance with the Boulder and Broomfield Chambers of Commerce.

“I am honored to accept this position,” said Cook.  “The Longmont Chamber is an organization I love because I believe wholeheartedly in our mission to advocate for businesses in a variety of ways.”  Cook continued, “Looking to the future, we have a lot of work to accomplish. I’m asking the staff and board to join me in listening to the current needs of the business community and work together to find solutions.”

The board believes that the Chamber will grow even stronger under the efficient leadership of Mr. Cook. Michelle Brietzke, 2017 Board Chair, says “I have always had excitement and passion for the work of the Longmont Chamber, but now with Scott Cook assuming the role of CEO I have a renewed energy in the leadership, ideas and implementation Scott will provide to the chamber, it’s staff and over 740 members.”

Mr. Cook will assume the CEO responsibilities as of today.
