Boulder County Parks & Open Space is now accepting applications for volunteers to work at the Nederland Mining Museum and James F. Bailey Assay Office Museum.

Volunteers welcome visitors to the museums, teach them about the mining history of Boulder County, and answer questions about the museum collections and local area. Your training will also prepare volunteers to lead educational programs for organized groups such as schools, senior centers, and interest groups.

Hours vary depending on site, but average between 4-8 hours per month.

Application deadline is Thursday, March 28. Training takes place Sunday, April 28.
