Effective October 1, 2018, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office will no longer provide public fingerprinting services. This change follows a new program implemented by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on September 24, in response to legislative changes outlined in Colorado Senate Bill 17-189.

CBI implemented a new statewide digital fingerprinting process knows as the Colorado Applicant Background Services (CABS). As part of the CABS Program, CBI selected two vendors to provide public fingerprinting services for background checks: IdentoGO and Colorado Fingerprinting. Each vendor maintains a list of locations, including mobile sites, hours of operations, costs, and other details for their services, on their respective websites.

Members of the public who were fingerprinted prior to the implementation of CBI's CABS Program should submit their fingerprint cards to CBI as soon as possible, as mailed fingerprint cards will no longer be accepted after October 22.

Additional information about CBI's CABS Program can be found on their website.
