On April 21, 2019, around 12:30 p.m., a 59-year old Longmont female resident fell on a rocky portion approximately 1/3 of a mile from the Rabbit Mountain trailhead.

Boulder County Sherriff's Office, Hygiene Fire Department, American Medical Response Ambulance (AMR), Rocky Mountain Rescue Group (RMR), and a Boulder County Park Ranger responded to a report of the injured hiker.

"Due to inaccessibility, an evacuation was conducted by RMR about 100 yards downhill and across the hillside to the access road. The female was then transported to a local hospital by AMR for an evaluation," states Boulder County.

There is no update on the female's current health condition.
