Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission Announces Special Commission Hearing Addressing the Firestone Tragedy

The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) invites the public and stakeholders to attend the Commission’s Special Online Hearing, on Monday, April 13. The special hearing is the next step in COGCC’s enforcement process in seeking an $18.25 million penalty against Kerr-McGee, a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum. At the Special Hearing, Kerr-McGee will answer to the Commission for these alleged violations.

In addition, the Commission will also discuss new updates to the SB 19-181 rulemaking schedule. There will be no public comment taken.
